• Fundación Iberdrola España and Cáritas Diocesana de Zamora collaborate for the first time in green education and employment project for young people and adults, including training photovoltaic installations
  • 40,000 funding from Fundación Iberdrola España will help 110 children and young people in Zamora

The Caritas Diocesana de Zamora project of photovoltaic installations for young people and adults, finances personnel for training vulnerable groups. Assistance is provided to two groups:

  • The training of minors who are at risk or socially excluded to reduce absenteeism and the digital divide, and
  • Training for groups between 18 and 30 years of age, for pre-employment and labor insertion with digital training and training in new energies (solar panels), including other training of interest to improve the employment opportunities of the beneficiaries.

Project objectives:

  • Provide courses on digital literacy, to reduce the digital and academic gap suffered after Covid.
  • To reduce school absenteeism, promoting daily educational reinforcement.
  • Promote pre-employability, guiding participants on study alternatives, training courses, or job opportunities.
  • Specifically train project participants, of legal age, in the installation of photovoltaic electricity.

About 40 young people are expected to participate in the 200-hour training courses on the installation of photovoltaic panels.
