New LED technology to enhance our heritage
The main objective of the Fundación Iberdrola España Illumination Programme is to act in unique buildings to install or improve indoor and/or outdoor lighting in order to contribute to enhancing Spain’s historical-artistic heritage. We carry out these initiatives in partnership with prestigious organisations dedicated to conservation.
Fundación Iberdrola España’s lighting projects seek artistic, economic and environmental benefits.
This programme’s main feature is the use of new LED technology, which provides benefits such as improved conservation, greater energy efficiency (75% more on average than with analogue bulbs) and a reduction in maintenance expenses due to the extension in the useful life of the lamps.
In addition to the artistic, economic and environmental benefits, there is the potential that these projects can contribute towards supporting economic activity and facilitating local development concerning the historic and artistic heritage.
