• Inspira I, a pilot project that sought to “re-engage young people from the municipality of Illescas between the ages of 16 and 30” in the educational environment, has concluded.
  • Following its success, Fundación Iberdrola España and Save the Children collaborate once again and present the Inspira II project.

The project seeks to contribute to the incorporation of young people into the labor market, reinforcing their initial academic training and motivating both young people and their families to redirect them towards theoretical and practical training in the energy sector, a sector that is currently in continuous growth and has a high demand for labor.

The itinerary consists of three theoretical-practical modules: Energy Efficiency and Domotics, Maintenance of Photovoltaic Installations and Reforestation Techniques, as well as workshops on social and labor orientation. They will be given through Save the Children, CORA, Reforesta, and Fundación GFM Renovables.

The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Carranque, Mario Sánchez del Baño; the Mayor of El Viso de San Juan, Jose Manuel Silgo Navarro; the Mayor of Seseña, Silvia Fernández García; the Mayor of Ugena, Félix Gallego García; the Mayor of Illescas, Jose Manuel Tofiño; the Deputy Mayor of Yeles, Javier Sánchez Salas; the President of the Iberdrola Foundation Spain, Fernando García. The event was attended by the director of Fundación Iberdrola España, Ramón Castresana; the director of Save the Children, Andrés Conde; and the coordinator of Inspira, Irene Mejía.

In his speech, Ramón Castresana, Director of Fundación Iberdrola España, said that “With this second edition of the Inspira project we will reach about 100 young people to motivate them to continue with their training and achieve their academic and social re-engagement thanks to the Green Economy”.

This training action is co-financed by the European Social Fund, the Youth Employment Initiative, and the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha through the Youth Employment Operational Program 2014-2020.
