Fundación Iberdrola España and the Museo Nacional del Prado are launching a new call for 3 scholarships to train specialists and promote research at the Museo del Prado in the following specialties: painting restoration, frame restoration, and technical documentation service. The three scholarships, with an endowment of €18,600, will be fully funded by Fundación Iberdrola España.
During the twelve months of their duration, the scholarship holders will participate in the conservation-restoration processes of the works in Prado’s collection, will collaborate in the preparation of reports, and will participate in the organization of temporary exhibitions.
Fundación Iberdrola España – Museo del Prado Scholarships for Training and Research in Restoration are developed within the framework of the agreement signed between the two entities in 2010, by which the Foundation became a benefactor member of the Museum. This renewal brings to 37 the number of grants awarded over the last 11 years.
Fundación Iberdrola España also collaborates with the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao to grant scholarships that contribute to training and research in the field of conservation and restoration of works of art. In addition, the scholarship includes an exchange between the scholarship recipients of both entities, so that they can live the experience and further enrich their techniques and knowledge in other prestigious places.
