Iberdrola Foundation collaborates, through its Social Program, with the Aspanion organizations, which has centers in Alicante and Valencia, and with Fundación Noray Project Hombre de Alicante, from 2014 and 2016, respectively. Since then, it is estimated that more than four thousand people have benefited directly in the development of these projects that have the backing of the company.
During a meeting held this morning at the headquarters of Fundación Noray Proyecto Hombre in Alicante, the director of the Iberdrola Spain Foundation, Ramón Castresana; the delegate of Iberdrola in the Comunitat Valenciana, Joaquín Longares; the President of the Alicante Noray Man Project, Luis Corno, and the Aspanion Alicante director, Ana Catalá, have positively evaluated the collaboration carried out in recent years and have detailed the initiatives that both entities will develop during 2018.
In the case of Aspanion, the project that Iberdrola supports for the fourth consecutive year, aims to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families. The support services offered by the program aim to ensure that children affected by cancer are incorporated into society on equal terms with the rest of the children. Likewise, it is sought that their families have the adequate support and counseling during the illness of the child.
The main activities are the reception and first information, hospital visits, psychological care, management and organization of reception floors of the entity, monitoring and assessment of financial aid and coordination with hospital health personnel, among others. It is estimated that this program has directly benefited 3,950 children with cancer and their families.
For its part, the Noray Man Project Foundation Alicante works with a large number of people affected by addictions that shows psychiatric disorders, chronic relapses and failures in treatment programs. The intervention offers specific actions aimed at people with this dual pathology in controlled and assisted environments. They also work with their families. The objective is to offer users a specific treatment regarding the dual pathology that allows them their personal autonomy in all areas, promoting their standardized adaptation and social inclusion.
From their center in the game of Aguamarga, in Alicante, they perform group and individual and family psychotherapy, guidance, evaluation and diagnosis services, workshops for the stimulation of executive functions, seminars to improve personal effectiveness, health workshops, etc. Thanks to this project, which has been supported by Iberdrola since 2016, more than 400 people have benefited.
